Workforce Management Summer Intern

Overview 

The Express Summer Internship Program is a 10-week paid program that offers undergraduate Juniors and Seniors the opportunity to work with and learn from experienced professionals while gaining exposure to various aspects of a retail fashion company. The Summer Intern class will include students interested in hands-on experience in an area of interest and exposure to cross-functional collaboration as well as gaining valuable professional development.

The 2023 program runs from June 5th to August 11th, and positions will be available in our Columbus, Ohio headquarters.

Responsibilities 
  • Support daily tasks required to ensure labor hours are funded timely and accurately 
  • Review daily flex reporting to identify opportunities and offer suggestions to action 
  • Communicate labor requirements to stores 
  • Support reporting requirements needed to analyze labor spend and compliance regulations 
  • Support the research and development of payroll models and field labor matrices 
  • Support testing and implementation of changes and enhancements to PM Reporting. 
  • Support standardized reporting for day-to-day operations. 
  • Identify and implement efficiencies to streamline standardized reports. 
  • Collaborate with Incentives to identify programs to motivate the field and drive positive business results. 
  • Review contest and incentives reporting

  • Interested in a career in fashion retail or a specialized department 
  • Curious and eager to learn 
  • Motivated self-starter 
  • Mature, responsible, reliable 
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies 
  • Advanced in Microsoft Suite with emphasis on Microsoft Excel and data query tools 
  • Strong combination of understanding stores' operational needs and fiscal responsibility 
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once

Requirements 
  • Availability to work full time (40 hours per week) 
  • Preferred GPA at or above 3.2
