Design (Women's) Summer Intern
Overview
The Express Summer Internship Program is a 10-week paid program that offers undergraduate Juniors and Seniors the opportunity to work with and learn from experienced professionals while gaining exposure to various aspects of a retail fashion company. The Summer Intern class will include students interested in hands-on experience in an area of interest and exposure to cross-functional collaboration as well as gaining valuable professional development.
The 2023 program runs from June 5th to August 11th, and positions will be available in our New York Design Studio.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside Express' Design professionals
- Identify trends and samples that can be adapted to represent trends for Express
- Research notions, trims, and lining
- Research trends and develop concept/inspiration boards
- Assist Designer in preparing sketches and boards for presentation meetings, both by hand and on Adobe Illustrator
- Assist with dressing mannequins and setting up presentation room for key meetings
- Organizes samples into categories for easy reference during key meetings and working sessions
- Update tech packs in PLM system

Requirements
- Availability to work full time (40 hours per week)
- Preferred GPA at or above 3.2
Salary Range: $21.50 - $28.00 hourly
