Decision Science Summer Intern
Overview
The Express Summer Internship Program is a 10-week paid program that offers undergraduate Juniors and Seniors the opportunity to work with and learn from experienced professionals while gaining exposure to various aspects of a retail fashion company. The Summer Intern class will include students interested in hands-on experience in an area of interest and exposure to cross-functional collaboration as well as gaining valuable professional development.
The 2023 program runs from June 5th to August 11th, and positions will be available in our Columbus, Ohio headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities in the business that can be solved by leveraging predictive and prescriptive analytics to drive business value
- Leveraging data through advanced analytical capabilities
- Asking relevant questions to connect the dots between business challenges
- Assess how machine learning methodologies can add value
- Understand how to measure performance and impact of initiatives
- Work with Data Scientists and cross-functional partners to scope
- Ask relevant business questions
- Aid in the dissemination of analytical best practices throughout the organization

- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Plotly or Matplotlib

- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and programming frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once
Requirements
- Availability to work full time (40 hours per week)
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with some specialization in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar focus
- Preferred GPA at or above 3.2
