LTOCE program office helper - chemistry/physics

Applicant must qualify for Federal Work Study. To find out eligibility contact Financial Aid at 318-257-2461 in Keeny Hall 237.

Applicants should be able and willing to work during normal lunch hours.

Responsibilities will include: greeting visitors to program office, directing them to the appropriate faculty or office, receiving packages, pick up and delivery of mail, maintaining copier and making copies, assisting faculty with special projects and tasks, general housekeeping of the office.

Desired qualities of the successful applicant will include: dependability, self-direction of assigned duties, professionalism, the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Students must be enrolled at least half-time to be eligible for student employment. Half time enrollment is defined as 4 hours for undergraduates or 3 hours for graduates. Students who drop below half-time will no longer be eligible for student employment and must cease working.


Students must have an overall GPA of 2.0 for undergraduates and a 3.0 for graduates during their employment. First time freshmen must have an ACT Composite score of 20 or higher at time of employment.


Students may work a maximum of 20 hours a work week, and are not allowed to work during scheduled class times.


Student workers will be allowed to hold only one job at a time during an academic year (ex: FWS, Graduate Assistantship, Regular Funds)


New student workers must have valid identification documents (non-expired passport or driver’s license and social security card)


International students must have a current passport, I-94, and social security card
