HBSE Summer 2023 Internship

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Harris Blitzer Sports and Entertainment (“HBSE”) internship program is an 8-week, part-time paid internship program that provides a balance of real-world work experience in the sports and entertainment field and structured educational sessions with industry leaders. Interns will meaningfully contribute to our efforts to be the world’s most impactful sports and entertainment company in the world. Interns will participate in training programs, events and activities designed to broaden their knowledge of the industry. The Internship Program is scheduled to start on May 23rd and ends July 21st with a week off the week of July 4th.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
  • Project tasks and assignments from specific assigned department
  • Attend weekly team meetings; company-wide meetings and other meetings as scheduled
  • Participate in day one orientation, which acclimates interns to their work environment, and sets HBSE expectations
  • Attend HBSE training programs and weekly lunch and learns hosted by internal experts, as well as events and activities designed to broaden knowledge of our operations and the industry at large
  • Attend coaching sessions outside of their assigned department to aid in further relationships being formed
  • Participation in a community service event

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A recent college graduate or current college; or or High School Degree/GED with 4 years of relevant experience
  • Entering their Junior or Senior year at an accredited College or University
  • Degree/Program must be with a strong nexus to the assignment area (e.g., Marketing intern should be studying marketing or some other business-centric major)
  • Must be able to report in-person, three (3) days a week at either our Newark, NJ offices in the Prudential Center or our Camden, NJ offices at the Philadelphia 76ers Practice Facility.
  • Must be in excellent academic standing
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to commit to 20-hour, in person work week for the full 8-week Program
  • Should possess leadership skills demonstrated through relevant extracurricular activities along with meaningful internship or other experience
  • Additional departmental specific qualifications may be determined
  • Ability to provide own laptop computer preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • This position generally requires that work be performed from the Prudential Center/New Jersey Devils offices or the Philadelphia 76ers Practice Facility, but attendance at events taking place in the arena or offsite, may be required.
  • COVID-19 Vaccine Required: As of the first day of employment, you must be able to demonstrate proof that you are fully vaccinated (as defined by the CDC) against COVID-19, unless you are granted a medical or religious exemption in accordance with Company policy.

PROCESS:
