These positions are remote with the opportunity to come into the office for meeting and events (subject to change based on business need and safety protocols).

Job Responsibilities

The IT Summer Intern would be a part of project and support teams across IT:
  • Application Project Office
  • Infrastructure Project Office
  • Application Support Office
  • Cybersecurity Office
  • Project Management Office
  • Infrastructure and Vendor Management Office
  • Software Development
 

Job Specific Qualifications

  • The successful candidate (s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree majoring in Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, or similar related area from an accredited institution. Candidates must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration. Candidates must have excellent oral and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail. Candidates must be familiar with computer mapping applications and general knowledge of computer hardware and software programs. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education, which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Candidates should be familiar with computer mapping applications and general knowledge of computer hardware and software programs.
  •  All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the summer period for the full 10-12 week period. We are targeting: Currently enrolled students (must be enrolled at the start of the internship program in June 2023). Housing, transportation, Immigration Support will not be provided with this position.
