Munich Re America Services (MRAS) is a shared service organization that delivers services to all Munich Re US P&C Companies and other group entities.
The Data Engineer intern role will be working on large projects from beginning to end as well several other small ad hoc assignments. They will be working on assignments for different members of the division and will learn to work with people at various levels. This role will help them improve time management and problem-solving skills. It will also them how to assess a client’s needs and to deliver a needs-based solution.
The internship is available for 8 months starting in January 2023 through May for 15-20 hours per week and then May through August 2023 for 40 hours per week. Hybrid working environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist other Business Analysts with production and ad hoc reporting
2. Assist Data Engineers with analyzing data from different sources to build a new pipeline
3. Manipulate data for analytical purposes
4. Assist with Quality Assurance
5. Prepare system batch jobs
Qualifications :
1. Senior or Master’s student
2. Preferred Majors: Business Analytics, Information Systems, Mathematics, Computer Science
3. Previous work experience
4. Good analytical and problem-solving skills
5. Ability to work with a team
6. Strong communication skills
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required), working knowledge of R and/or SQL, Power BI and/or Tableau a plus.
