Marketing Intern, Global BioDevices

Marketing Intern Global BioDevices
Location: Durham, NC
POSITION SUMMARY
This role will be a member of the Global BioDevice (GBD) Commercial team at Zoetis, primarily working with the senior marketing manager, who reports to the Vice-President.
Embrex® BioDevices, from Zoetis, were the first-ever in ovo vaccination technology placed in a hatchery to vaccinate against diseases affecting the poultry industry. More than thirty years later, that same hatchery is still using Embrex BioDevices, demonstrating our leadership, strong performance, and unmatched support to our customers. Globally, there are more than 650 devices that vaccinate nearly 20 billion eggs per year. As a marketing intern with the GBD team, you will have the opportunity to work with industry leading technology by the world’s largest animal health company.
The intern position will focus on three core marketing skills to sustain and grow the Embrex business: industry event planning, marketing research, and customer relationship management (CRM). As part of our customer-facing activities, the marketing intern will lead the planning team to maximize our sponsorship in the LPN Congress, including booth concepts, messaging, and activities, and coordinating the development of these items between Zoetis colleagues and agency partners. Maintaining our leadership position through measuring brand awareness, perception, and preference and gaining insights of customer satisfaction is a critical component of marketing. The intern will collaborate with an external vendor to manage a Net Promoter Score survey, extract insights related to the health of the Embrex brand, and create recommendations on using such insights in future marketing endeavors. Lastly, utilizing CRM best practices to uncover market potential and conducting customer segmentation will support international growth opportunities. The marketing intern will be responsible for working with sales, marketing, business analytics, in-market poultry leadership, and an external agency to develop and implement segmentation strategies.
Additionally, as part of the GBD team, the marketing intern will gain knowledge and experience in key marketing elements including finance, commercialization/sales, trials and studies, and customer service and support.
