The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Software Developer (GS-1550/0854-07T12) to work at the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the Air Force Test Center (AFTC), at the 96 Range Group, 96th Range Control Squadron, at Eglin AFB in Florida.
This position has a typical 2022 salary range of $51,209 - $103,176 (includes locality).

This position is Situational Telework Eligible (must reside in the local area). Telework options can be negotiated and implemented after entrance on duty.
In this position, you will serve as a Software Engineer responsible for the software development and sustainment of applications supporting live test and evaluation missions within the 96th Range Control Squadron. Responsibilities include customer interactions, hands-on software development, review and testing of peer software in a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & maintain Security clearance
- BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Experience with at least one high level programming language such as C#, C++, or Java
- Basic experience with the development of graphical user interfaces using APIs such as JavaFX, Java Swing, or QT
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with team members and personnel in external organizations
- Recommended experience with: Telemetry, TCP/IP, UDP, Windows, Linux, low-level data manipulation (I/O)
