Windows Systems Administrator Intern

Position Summary: The Windows Systems Administrator Intern will assist the Senior Windows Systems Admin in maintaining the various server roles in RENCl’s production Windows Server environment. Some of the tasks include, but are not limited to:
  • Active Directory Auditing
  •  GPO Auditing
  • Windows Server Patch Validation
  • Qualys Scan Assessment
  •  WSUS Maintenance
  •  PXE & VM Gold Image Maintenance
  •  SOP/Documentation for maintenance purposes

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience: Entry-level experience with the following:
  • Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2012-2022
  • Active Directory
  • Group Policy Management
  • Windows Deployment Services
  • Windows Server Update Services
  • Virtual Machines
  • Writing skills for creating detailed process documentation

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience: A current UNC Chapel Hill undergraduate student: freshman or sophomore
