Job Title: Real Estate (RE) Finance Summer Analyst
Job Description:
The RE Finance Summer Analyst Program seeks to offer a comprehensive experience to college juniors who are interested in careers in real estate finance and accounting. Our program is designed to develop talent as well as identify top candidates for the full-time Real Estate Finance Rotational Analyst Program. The 1 to 2-year full-time program will offer 2 nine-month rotations through the different product areas within Real Estate.
The Summer Analyst program offers a hands-on experience across Real Estate Finance, where Analysts will have direct exposure to senior-level management, engaging mentors, development opportunities and targeted training to help sharpen technical, analytical and communication skills. At the end of the program, Summer Analysts are expected to give a presentation on a topic related to their experience.
Summer Analysts will be placed in one group within Real Estate Finance for the duration of the program, which will be in one of the following teams:
- Real Estate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- BREP (Blackstone Real Estate Partners) Valuations
- BPP (Blackstone Property Partners) Valuations
- BREDS (Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies) FP&A
- BREDS Valuations
- BREDS Operations
- BREIT (Blackstone Real Estate Investment Trust) FP&A
- BREIT Accounting
- BXMT (Blackstone Mortgage Trust) FP&A
There will be a variety of projects and responsibilities available to the Summer Analyst depending on the group they are placed in, including, but not limited to performing financial analyses, forecasting P&L and capital metrics, performance tracking, quarterly management reporting, quarterly SEC reporting, and portfolio operations.
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate should have:
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting or Economics with strong academic record
- Strong quantitative skills
- Self-starter, highly organized, and detail-oriented
- Ability to be a collaborative team player
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic environment while handling multiple projects
- Possesses a strong work ethic, personal and professional integrity, a positive attitude, and genuine passion for excellence
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
