UNDERGRADUATE INTERN- ATHLETICS PROGRAM INTERN (PARKS & REC)

Do you need to satisfy an intern requirement for your degree? Do you enjoy providing excellent customer service, sharing your passion for sports programs and engaging with the community?

Well, this may be the perfect opportunity for you in our Parks and Recreation Department! We are looking for an undergraduate intern to work in our Athletics program during the fall and/or spring semester.

The intern will assist with planning, developing and conducting sports programs for youths (5-17) and adults (18+). This person would interact with participants, coaches, parents, officials and staff members while monitoring facilities and activities. Assistance would be needed to set up and broken down for various events and activities.

This is a fast paced position with many moving parts, but will provide job satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment when providing a fun environment for our community!

The rate of pay for this internship will range from $11-$15 per hour depending on your course completion, previous work history, and other qualifications.

There is room for advancement within the Parks and Recreation department! We have part-time and full-time positions available.

This position requires a high school diploma or GED and college level education in a related field such as Sports Management, Recreation, Exercise Science or Parks and Recreation. Applicant must be over the age of 18.

Acceptable general background checks to include a local and state criminal history check, sex offender registry check, and a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record will also be required.

Based on your availability, you can choose to work an average of 10-30 hours per week. The schedule has options for day, evening, and weekend hours.
