Project Analyst (Entry Level)

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) is seeking a motivated experienced project analyst at our Naval Reactors Facility (NRF) in the Director of Management Office located in the beautiful, picturesque Idaho Falls, Idaho area location.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to live in beautiful Southeast Idaho! The region offers abundant outdoor opportunities and allows you to live approximately two hours from Yellowstone National Park. With NRF located west of Idaho Falls, Pocatello, and Rexburg, employees have multiple family friendly cities to choose to call home. 

Responsibilities:
  • Analyzing costs and resources
  • Budgeting and cost control
  • Communication with project stakeholders
  • Coordination and integration of project team efforts
  • Facilitating the development of the schedule and cost baselines
  • Measuring project performance
  • Monitoring and reporting project progress
  • Performance reporting
  • Providing monthly reports and input to the project execution plan
  • Resource management
  • Risk management
  • Support construction project teams with project planning and scheduling
  • Support of project portfolio analysis 
  • Updating schedules

REQUIRED SKILLS *

Associate:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university

Intermediate:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years relevant experience; or
  • Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one year relevant experience 

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Construction related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage priorities with strong attention to detail 
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with preparing and analyzing budgets, cost tracking using MS Excel or other software
  • Experience with project scheduling (Primavera P6, MS Project)
  • Previous experience working with NNL
  • Project Management certification or training
