Records Management Professional

Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) is looking for a Records Management (RM) professional to join their team. NNL offers excellent benefits, a great work/life balance, and job stability. The selected individual will be an enthusiastic RM professional to champion a culture of information management and compliance with federal RM requirements across NNL. The successful candidate will lead and/or support important RM initiatives, act as the center of excellence for RM consultation, build and maintain good working relationships in order to influence change, and cultivate a strong network of Directorate Records Coordinators to locally carryout the Company's RM mission. The position includes: 
  • Train Records Coordinators in how to declare, schedule, manage, and disposition records
  • Use and promote usage of the records management application (RMA)
  • Develop and deliver RM training for Records Coordinators and other stakeholders
  • Own and maintain standard operating procedures, corporate policies and instructions, and RMA functional requirements
  • Complete special assignments that require analysis and development of formal recommendation
  • Proactively team with colleagues across the sites to understand needs and wants and propose cost-effective solutions
  • Support Directorate in their RM efforts, from record creation through disposition

REQUIRED SKILLS *

Intermediate:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years relevant experience; or
  • Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one year relevant experience 

Advanced:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of four years relevant experience; or
  • Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years relevant experience

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience with records management
  • Experience supporting the transition from paper to electronic records management
  • Experience conducting audits to ensure compliance with records management requirements
  • Project management experience
  • Effective interpersonal, listening, verbal, and written communications skills
  • Ability to effectively management multiple priorities with good attention to detail
  • IT skills/knowledge; familiarity with information systems and archives
  • Degree in Records Management
  • DOE Q Clearance
