Business Analyst / UX Developer

Position Overview
We are seeking a business analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will work as part of our agile development team, supporting the development of custom decision intelligence solutions. You will be accountable for designing and building user interfaces to intuitively convey actionable insights to stakeholders, allowing them to make intelligent decisions. As a key member of our team, you will have opportunities to broaden your role and responsibilities to further your personal and professional development.
This position is contract-to-hire, with an estimated base salary range of $80,000 - $120,000.
Responsibilities and Skills
• Designing and developing dashboards in Microsoft Power BI and Tableau
• Emphasis on UI design, creatively using custom visuals, templates, and other tools to convey information in multiple formats
• Reporting to project managers under a hybrid agile project management methodology
• Coordinating tasks independently and in conjunction with engagement leads and firm executives
• Tracking time and creating tasks in project management tools
• Working across multiple client-driven and internal projects simultaneously
• Ability to excel independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic startup environment
• An outcome-centric approach to collaborative and independent work
• Interest in joining a dynamic, rapidly growing consultancy and working with clients to achieve common goals
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree: all majors accepted (business or engineering is a plus)
• 2+ years' experience with Microsoft Power BI (additional experience in Tableau is strongly preferred)
• Facility with the M and DAX Power BI languages is not required but preferred
• 1+ years’ experience with Power BI advanced features required (custom text-based insights, apps and workflows, custom visuals)
• Experience designing user experiences to world-class standards for intuitive, personalized consumption of information and insights
• Strong UI/UX design skills are required for this role
• Experience with UI design tools such as Adobe XD is a major plus
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS is a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Located in or near Raleigh, NC with the ability to work in a hybrid environment
