Office Assistant - General Business Support

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking a student employee who is self-motivated, has a positive attitude, and is interested in working in an academic department setting. This position will provide dedicated support for day to day business operations.

Job Duties:

  • Monitor department email account

  • Collect and distribute mail and packages

  • Maintain conference rooms

  • Set up for department meetings

  • Support the department's weekly seminar series

  • Support travel and purchasing services as necessary

  • Provide purchasing card reconciliation support

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Positive attitude

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience in customer service

  • Dependable, solid work ethic

  • Must have a vehicle or other mode of transportation, as this position is required to pick up seminar supplies from Albertsons

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Google Apps and Microsoft Office

  • Familiarity in working with students and faculty

  • Knowledge of general business and accounting procedures

  • Comfortable working in an office environment that occasionally includes dogs
