Office Assistant - General Business Support
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking a student employee who is self-motivated, has a positive attitude, and is interested in working in an academic department setting. This position will provide dedicated support for day to day business operations.
Job Duties:
Monitor department email account
Collect and distribute mail and packages
Maintain conference rooms
Set up for department meetings
Support the department's weekly seminar series
Support travel and purchasing services as necessary
Provide purchasing card reconciliation support
Minimum Qualifications:
Positive attitude
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in customer service
Dependable, solid work ethic
Must have a vehicle or other mode of transportation, as this position is required to pick up seminar supplies from Albertsons
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Google Apps and Microsoft Office
Familiarity in working with students and faculty
Knowledge of general business and accounting procedures
Comfortable working in an office environment that occasionally includes dogs
