Responsibilities: 
  • Perform hardware and software troubleshooting for end users. 
  • Provide both in person and remote support. 
  • Update and work on tickets as assigned. 
  • Help to write technical documentation to common solutions. 
Skill Requirements: 
  • Basic knowledge and/or familiarity of current operating systems such as: Windows, Mac OS, ChromeOS, iOS, and Android 
  • Basic customer service skills 
  • Desire to learn 
Time requirements: 
  • Current hours of operation span Monday – Friday 8am-5pm
  • We typically expect 15-28 hours per week from our student employees but can be flexible. 

All University of Akron student employees must meet the designated minimum standards as stated on the Student Employment Eligibility Chart. UA student employees must be 18 years or older at the time of their start date. Any approved remote work conducted by student employees MUST be performed within the state of Ohio.
