About the AmeriCorps VISTA Program: As an AmeriCorps VISTA member you will be able to choose an education award or cash stipend after completing your year of service. The value of the education award is $6,895. The award can be used to pay for future educational training and related expenses or to repay existing eligible federal student loans. The cash stipend is $1,800. AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) (www.americorps.gov/vista) is an anti-poverty program that provides full-time service members to nonprofit organizations that serve low-income communities.
Description: AmeriCorps VISTA Farm Country Interpretation and Facilitation Planner Job Description
Pay Rate $17,600 annual Living Allowance.
Full Time: Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM

Responsibilities:
- Research existing farm-based education programs and stay current with emerging research.
- Connect with other organizations across the country doing similar work to learn and adapt programming.
- Work with internal exhibits team to create programs that align with planned exhibits.
- Develop program facilitation plans based off research.
- Test the programs at Farm Country.
- Train Learning and Engagement staff to deliver the created programs.
Requirements:
- Strong communication, with collaborative approach to the workplace, and ability to give and receive constructive feedback
- Ability to work patiently in high-activity, high-energy, noisy environments
- Experience teaching or facilitating learners of different ages and abilities in formal or informal learning environments is preferred
- Valid Driver’s License preferred
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must pass a background check
