International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) Graduate Assistant
Position Summary:
This position serves as an international admissions coordinator and supports the ISSS Office’s goals by focusing on communication with prospects, applicants and admitted students, application review and guidance after admission. The position reports to Director of ISSS or the International Enrollment Management Specialist.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Guide international students through the application-admission process.
· Respond to inquiries by email and communicate with students through social media.
· Collect education records, passports, financial and other documents.
· Understand differences in education systems.
· Review application files for completion.
· Maintain lists and reports of applicants and admitted students.
· Guide international students on further steps after admission such as, paying the I-901 fee, applying for a visa, and traveling to the U.S.
· Help admitted students learn about WSU, their major, academics and activities on campus.
· Collaborate with all office staff and current international students.
· Additional duties as assigned.
