Support Specialist for College Steps at Kean University
Note: This is an in-person position for the Fall 2022-Spring 2023 Academic Year, based at the Kean University Campus in Union, NJ.
Position requirements:
- Available to work on campus at Kean between the hours of 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday
- Scheduling availability of 20 hours per week for in-person services on the college campus during the academic year
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Support Specialist roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement group sessions with students on campus
- Supervise student and mentor in-person sessions
- Support implementation of day-to-day in-person operations
- Provide direct support to students in the areas of academic enrichment, social integration, independent living, and pre-employment skills
- Assist students with organization of assignments and scheduled tasks/events
- Support Program Coordinator with daily administrative tasks
- Relay communication about student progress to Program Coordinator
- Attend individual supervision with Program Coordinator
- Complete any other related tasks that may be delegated by the Program Coordinator
