Research Technician I - Tollkuhn Laboratory
The Tollkuhn Laboratory at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory on Long Island, New York is looking to hire a Research Technician to contribute to our research program on the actions of hormones on the brain. Our lab studies how hormone receptors regulate gene expression in the brain to influence sex-variable biology, behavior, and disease risk. We work at the interface between molecular biology and neuroscience and welcome applicants with interests in gene regulation, neurodevelopment, neural circuits, and innate behaviors. The initial primary duties will involve mouse colony maintenance, husbandry, and management (including genotyping); histology, tasks such as organizing laboratory databases, samples, and supplies; and generally providing support to help the graduate students and postdocs in the lab accomplish their research goals. Opportunities for advancement and the development of an independent research project are possible. We offer an exciting, dynamic, and supportive environment where big discoveries are made, and we look forward to adding a new team member to help us in our effort.
