Technical Program Management Internship - Summer 2023

About the team:
 
The Technical Program Management team works with creative development teams to help drive ambiguous product requirements into a well thought-out design. They work cross-functionally with Product Management, Experience Design, Quality Assurance, Engineering and Release Management to deliver features that provide value to our streaming customers.

  • Global Exposure: Most of our teams and products have global impact, meaning often our interns are working on projects that impact multiple markets. This provides you with unique insight into solving problems at scale, the nuances between markets and how we leverage technology to provide seamless and consistent quality across our customer experience globally.
  • Global Network: By the end of the program you’ll have built a global network of talented Engineers, Product Managers, Data Scientists and Analysts, Product Designers, Marketeers and business leaders. What you need to know about the DTC Summer 2023 Program Application Process:
 
  • Our Summer 2023 internship program is 11 weeks long, commencing June 5th - August 18th.
  • Our internships are paid opportunities. Credit is not required; however, we will provide documentation if necessary.
  • The application deadline is November 30th. After this date, we cannot guarantee your application will be reviewed for the position.
  • We do not require a cover letter. Please demonstrate your passion for the position through your resume.
 
 
We are interviewing through Fall 2022. A Warner Bros. Discovery Intern team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.

About the projects you may work on:
 
  • Gather requirements and elaboration (starting from just a problem statement), including acceptance criteria
  • Translate business requirements to technical requirements that are ready for consumption by a cross functional team
  • Participate in creating a tactical roadmap development for your assigned technology/subject-matter domain
  • Ensuring features are aligned to KPIs and/or contain quality indicators
  • Participate in release readiness planning
  • Participate in the team’s backlog refinement
  • Participate in setting goals with clear expectations and prioritizing activities

The Essentials
 
  • Familiarity with development methodologies including Waterfall and Agile.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or G-suite productivity software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including negotiation and problem resolution in a cross-functional team
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Passion and curiosity for technology
 
Qualifications 
 
* Must be currently enrolled as a student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship).
* Must be a rising Junior, Senior or Grad Student.
* Preferred 3.0 GPA.
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
