Merchandising Internship
The Badlands Big Sticks was established in 2018 and are apart the Independence Baseball League. This internship will run from mid-May through mid-August. The Big Sticks will host 30 home games with an average of 700 fans attending per game. Attendance will be required at all home games and special events, including team and community events. The schedule will be challenging, working up to 80+ hours a week during homestands.
All interns will receive a $1,000 stipend and have housing provided. Preference will be given to applicants that are receiving college credit.
In addition to position responsibilities, all interns will be required to help out in all areas of team operations as needed including but not limited to taking out trash, cleaning, and wearing the mascot costume at events.
Position Requirements
- Oversee the operation of the Teddy’s Trading Post, the merchandise store
- Set up, regular maintenance, and inventory of Teddy’s Trading Post, including updating inventory on POS system
- Merchandise store set up, straightening/organizing, and operation prior to gates opening on game days
- Assist in fulfillment of online orders including packaging and shipping
- Other duties as assigned
