Life Scientist/Environmental Engineer/Physical Scientist-R3

Summary

This position is in Region 3, Office of the Regional Administrator, Air and Radiation Division, Partnership Programs and Grants Branch. If selected, you must work at the location stated in this announcement.

About Region 3: R3

Duties

You will:
  • Conduct scientific, technical, or policy analyses of air quality issues in support of regulatory activities under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) or the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA);
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to state, local, or tribal agency personnel on air quality issues to include programs such as the Clean School Bus Program and Clean Ports Initiative;
  • Adapt and develop new approaches, analytical methods, and techniques for air quality issues, and apply technical and scientific developments to assignments;
  • Prepare and disseminate scientific/technical information through oral briefings, written documents, workshop/conference/seminar presentations, or public hearings.
