Entry Level Biologist
Environmental, Inc. is currently seeking an entry-level full time Biologist or Environmental Scientist in the state of Florida. The job’s main responsibilities will be to provide migratory bird nest surveys throughout the state of Florida for compliance with the federal Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA) and the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act, in addition to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) policies and regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Project oversight and scheduling.
- Plan work to achieve client’s objectives and deadlines.
- Conduct site visits and thoroughly document existing conditions and observed behavior.
- Make informed decisions and recommendations based on current and applicable federal and state policies and regulations.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science or closely related field.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize work.
- Self-motivated with initiative to learn quickly
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal communication with Environmental, Inc. staff, clients, landowners, and regulatory agencies
- Extensive travel throughout the state of Florida.
Must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record and authorized to work in the U.S.
