Healthcare Finance Intern
This internship is an opportunity for accounting and finance students to practice their accounting knowledge and skills in a professional setting as they gain more confidence within the healthcare industry.
As a healthcare finance intern, you will perform a variety of duties related to budgets and finances at our private physician practice. You are responsible for helping to prepare financial reports and statements. You also collect data and conduct analyses of spending to increase efficiency and improve the bottom line.
- Must either be a recent graduate or in the process of completing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Proficient with computers and different finance software programs.
- Must have effective written and verbal communication skills to build strong interpersonal relationships.
- Have strong organization and time management skills with the ability to work without distraction.
- Must have completed introductory accounting courses and have a basic understanding of financial principles.
- Must have a very high sense of rigor to prevent any form of mistake that may occur in the process of documenting financial information.
- Must be a team player and motivated to learn with a strong desire to take on a new challenge.
The pay rate is $20 per hour.
The position requires about 5 hours per week.
The work location is remote.
