Human Resources Specialist - Office of Mission Support

Duties

At the entry level of this position, you will:

  • Assist in workforce planning and succession management processes that include planning, monitoring, evaluating, and analyzing various sources to discern the appropriate organizational capabilities and employee competencies needed for the Agency to achieve its mission.
  • Assess and recommend appropriate changes in the human capital programs, policies and practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of human resources management within EPA.
  • Analyze and evaluate on a quantitative/qualitative basis the effectiveness of workforce planning/succession management, employee engagement, reorganizations, and other human capital strategies to meet established Agency goals and objectives.

When entering a Federal job at a grade level lower than the highest promotion potential level, you may be promoted to more complex duties and work more independently, as your career progresses. NOTE: Career ladder promotions are not automatic, and all eligibility and qualifications requirements must be met in order to progress to the next grade level.
