The OTR Customer Service intern will be part of a team in a BNSF Logistics regional office within our Over the Road (OTR) department during the course of this 10-week summer experience. You will take part in meaningful work and real-life projects. This experience will help you grow both professionally and personally. 
 
This position can be located in any of our major company locations: Dallas, TX; Springdale, AR; Schaumburg, IL; etc. and can work in a hybrid format - 50% in office and 50% remotely.

Primary Functions: 
The OTR Customer Service Intern will work from one of our eastern or central US offices and will take part in daily activities as part of the customer service team for the region. Daily activities will include:  
  • Tracking and tracing of shipments 
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships within the carrier operations team 
  • Building/appointing loads to support carrier operations and account management 
  • Collaborating with Accounts Receivable Resolutions to resolve billing/aging/POD inquiries. 
  • Resolving issues that might arise concerning covered freight in collaboration with operations and/or Account Management.  
  • Developing inter and intra-departmental relationships amongst all essential Over the Road business functions: Sales, Operations, Customer ARR, and IT. 
 
Basic Qualifications: 
  • Currently pursuing a degree in business, sales, supply chain or a related field 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills to interact with internal and external customers 
  • A high level of interest in learning and desire for coaching
