This is an appointment under the DOL Recent Graduate program. The program duration is one year; agency may then convert to a term or permanent position. Recent graduates: Individuals who have graduated from an accredited educational institute or certificate program within the last 2 years or 6 years for Veterans.
Duties
Major duties include but are not limited to:
- Apply qualitative and quantitative methods in assessing management processes and systems.
- Respond to management requests to analyze problems and issues.
- Develop and present issues to meet management needs and program objectives.
- Recommend workable solutions and management actions that are based on sound management principles and are achievable in relation to agency policy and regulations.
- Problems and issues addressed may involve matters such as efficiency and effectiveness in organizational design; records management; or developing or modifying procedures for carrying out managerial or administrative functions.
- Conduct fact-finding research, analyze data, and prepare and present findings and recommendations.
- Review and evaluate policies and procedures to determine gaps where additional guidance is needed.
- Advise managers and program officials on policies and procedures including actions to be taken to accomplish work in accordance with established requirements.
- Compile and analyze data and prepare administrative and/or program reports.
