Veterinary Externship

Cottonwood Creek Veterinary Hospital is looking for a mixed animal veterinarian externs and small animal veterinarian externs for a multi-doctor, 2-practice company, with offices in and near Waco, TX. To provide comprehensive care for our patients & clients 24 hours a day, on call services are required, however it is shared with 7 other veterinarians. We offer digital, dental, and portable radiology, ultrasonography, and in house laboratory capabilities. Our services include preventative medicine, internal medicine, general and orthopedic surgery, equine lameness, equine reproduction, herd health, bovine reproduction (including embryo transfer) and more. We maintain a high tech to doctor ratio, and have many LVTs on staff. We are a busy, fast pace practice, so a good work ethic is a must, but we do strive to maintain a good work-life balance. 

We aim to provide a comprehensive hands-on experience during the time with our facility. Housing is provided for fourth year students. A wide variety of areas of medicine and services are covered during externships. Surgical cases usually available for externs through our shelter partners. Externs are anticipated to be very hands on to pursue a good understanding of the medicine being shown for themselves and to provide an exciting and diverse experience while with our clinics.
