2023 Summer Internship | Good Sam Business Development Internship
School Year: Seniors, Masters, or PhD Students
Dates of the Internship: June 1st – August 4th
Format and Location: Hybrid, Chicago, IL
Camping World is looking for interns for the summer 2023 internship season to work closely with the Good Sam business segment. As an intern, you will assist with maintaining, enhancing, and creating new business opportunities for the enterprise. We are looking for someone who is driven and wants to be fully immersed in real-world experiences. If you are eager to learn and have a strong interest in Business and want to further develop yourself as a professional; this is the ideal role for you. Camping World internships are ten-week, full-time, paid internships that will provide a great opportunity for those that want to jumpstart their careers.
Responsibilities:
- Learn and understand the multi-faceted Good Sam business
- Support Business Development within Good Sam, which has three main aspects:
- Establishing enterprise-wide partnerships: expand and enhance member benefits for the 5.4M Good Sam member base as well as grow brand awareness with partners
- Creating net new business lines: RV Rentals, RV Exchange, etc.
- Establishing corporate partnerships: B2B opportunities for Good Sam Products and Services
- Fulfill tasks set out by supervisors within your assigned department
- Attend staff meetings to remain updated on projects and changes within the department
- Participate in Internship Program events
- Assist in researching and preparing information
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
- Cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher
- Sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Capable of interpreting data, financial planning, and business analysis
- Ability to maintain professional demeanor and strict confidentiality of company information
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and leadership skills
- Must be ambitious and organized
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to find opportunities where others may not and work quickly to connect the dots
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high growth environment with the ability to multitask and manage projects
- Strong work ethic with sense of urgency to resolve issues promptly
