Marketing Intern - Fall 2022

The Marketing Intern will gain valuable exposure and experience across almost all elements of the marketing function and marketing communications for our connected products and services. This role will be involved in assistance and maintenance of national marketing programs for mobile and web applications. This includes the tactical execution of app launch campaigns, partner communication, coordination surveys, ownership of ongoing marketing program maintenance, and project status updates. The involvement in these programs will enable you to launch marketing programs that build awareness, drive demand and ultimately grow sales. You will gain valuable experience in project management, messaging, program management and marketing communications tactical development with visibility across the broader organization. In short, you will not only have specific projects you can highlight, but also broader experience upon which you can build.  

Essential duties:
  • Work closely with management team to provide timely reports and analysis on campaigns
  • Collaborate with corporate Marketing team to launch & maintain campaigns
  • Help to create content (written, graphic, video) for digital promotional campaigns
  • Provide copy-editing and proofreading for marketing and advertising materials
  • Manage and assist with ongoing communications to Generac customers and partners
  • Monitor and understand Marketing analytics 

 Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Communication or similar field;
  • The ability to work full-time during the summer and 15-20 hours during the school year

Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Sophomore status or above in the degree-seeking program;
  • Strong computer skills in the Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Working knowledge of basic writing skills
  • Working knowledge of basic graphic design skills
  • Working knowledge of basic video editing skills
  • Previous working or volunteer experience;
  • Involvement and leadership in extra-curricular campus activities or non-profit organizations.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
