Year Round Intern- LISCC Recovery & Resolution

Position Description


The LISCC Recovery and Resolution Program (RRP) within the Division of Supervision and Regulation (S&R) is seeking a year-round intern.The mission of the LISCC RRP section is to promote the resiliency of systemically important banks and minimize the impact of their distress or failure on the financial system. 

Responsibilities include: 
• Contribute to supervisory work in assessing LISCC firms’ resolution and recovery preparedness
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis related to resolution financial topics
• Participate in training opportunities on recovery and resolution

Over the course of the internship, the student will:
  • gain exposure to the supervisory process of large financial institutions through review of various reports, meetings, and assessments of firms’ capabilities to create recovery and resolution plans;
  • work closely with members of the Board's RRP section;
  • and occasionally work with other Board Divisions through cross over projects with RRP staff (e.g., Division of Financial Stability's FIRE section).


Position Requirements


Suggested Education: Rising college junior or higher pursuing a degree in public policy, economics, finance, accounting, statistics or any other related field of study.

Required Skills or Experience:
• Relevant coursework in a related field of study (public policy, statistics, accounting, finance, economics)
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, including past use of statistical or modeling software
• Strong organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities

Notes:
  • This internship can be completed remotely.
  • Anticipated Start Date: Fall 2022
  • Anticipated Hours: 20 hours/week during school semester, 40 hours/week during summer
  • US Citizenship is required for all Board internships and applicants must be current students, graduating from their program Fall 2023 or later.
