Materials Management Representative

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) is looking for a Materials Management professional to join the Materials and Information Management team! You will be responsible for the movement of material and equipment in and out from the site. This includes the use of a Government program for the selection of carriers, route determinations, shipping costs, freight bill verification and freight bill input. You will provide daily oversight for the Interactive Shipping Document System (ISDS), shipment preparation, receiving operations, preventative maintenance for shop equipment, forklift operations, and material and equipment movement throughout the site. Supporting the Motor Vehicle Fleet Administrator is another responsibility of this role and includes: scheduling vehicles for servicing and cleaning, tracking and reporting of monthly fuel usage, verification of vehicle costs and monthly reporting, oversight and maintenance of the vehicle reservation program. Put your Materials Management experience to work for NNL!

REQUIRED SKILLS *

Intermediate:
  • Bachelor degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years of relevant experience.

Senior:
  • Bachelor degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of six years of relevant experience.
 
PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Materials Management experience
  • Certification (Hazardous Materials Regulations of the Department of Transportation)
  • Experience as a Department of Transportation (DOT) hazardous material shipper for air and ground transportation.
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook/Excel)
