This is a Limited Term (LT) position and may be extended up to 24 months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. If becoming permanent, the selected candidate must have eligibility for a permanent appointment at the time of the LT appointment or at the time of the conversion.

The State Water Resource Control Board’s Division of Financial Assistance has an opening for a Water Resource Control Engineer in the Small Community Drinking Water Technical Assistance/Administrators Unit under the Office of Sustainable Water Solutions Branch. The position is located at 1001 I Street, 16th Floor, Sacramento, CA 95814, close to light rail stations, other public transportation, restaurants and more.

Duties:
Under the close supervision of a Senior Water Resource Control Engineer, and consistent with good customer service practices and the goals of the State and Regional Board’s Strategic Plan, the incumbent is expected to be courteous and provide timely responses to internal/external customers, follow through on commitments, and to solicit and consider internal/external customer input when completing work assignments. Travel will be required.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
