SRNL Manager, Computer Engineering & Sciences
We are seeking a software professional to manage an information technology team to support and develop SRNL research and development programs using advanced applied computational technologies. Teams will primarily consist of software developers and business automation professionals providing effective software solutions and support services to the SRNL. The manager develops and executes business strategies in alignment with SRNL strategic plan, and manages section resources including budgets and an extensive licensed software library, and is the SRNL management lead for software QA.
What you will do:
- Recruit, hire, mentor, and coach software developers at different levels of experience to meet growing needs as SRNL expands.
- Manage resources and execute tasks against project plans to maintain work scope and deliver commitments on schedule.
- Interface with internal and external customers on technical issues, scopes of work, identifying requirements, setting priorities, and communicating progress.
- External customers and collaboration partners may be other DOE Sites/Labs, academic institutions, or commercial industries.
- Interface with management to proactively identify risks or potential bottlenecks and report progress.
- Ensure policy and procedure compliance. Set technical strategy working with technical team(s).
- Document and contribute to roadmap for CIO organization and ensure resources align to priorities.
