Regulatory/ Safety Internship
Position Title: Regulatory/ Safety Intern
Department: Regulatory/ Safety
Reports To: VP of Tech and Innovation
Position Scope
The internship position will encompass participation in many aspects of the regulatory and safety department for the Zenex International and ChemSafe International businesses.
Position Requirements
- Review Product labels and promotional materials for grammatical accuracy.
- Outline necessary changes and communicate them effectively to the team of graphic artists.
- Learn applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards for regulatory compliance.
- Learn label and associated literature compliance for US health and safety authority requirements (ie. OSHA, EPA, state consumer products regulations, FDA cosmetic regulations, etc.).
- Aptitude to create and edit Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Product Data Sheets (PDS).
Required Skills
- Strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Great attention to detail and proofreading skills.
- Strong organizational and procedural work habits.
- Solid problem-solving abilities.
- Shipping classification experience is a plus.
- Currently enrolled in a 4-year University pursuing a degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or related field.
- One year of related experience preferred, or at least 4 related courses completed.
- Ability to travel throughout facility to conduct safety inspections.
