Discover Branson is currently hiring for the fun and exciting position on Branson Journalist and Writer. Sounds cool right!!! It definitely is for the right person. Here is the scoop ;-)

General Job Description:

Research, interview, review, evaluate, inform and tell the story about anything and everything Branson! This position is vital to the content creation for web, print, radio, podcast, training, email distribution and other channels to reach our audience.

RESEARCH: Ensure accuracy and find the best of Branson to share with our visitors online, in person and via our Visitors Guide.

INVERVIEW: Conduct in person, on camera, off camera, phone, zoom, text, email, facebook live or any other form of media interviews. These will be with local celebrities, performers, business owners, customers, visitors, workers and other people of interest when getting a story.

REVIEWS: This includes show reviews, attraction reviews, restaurant reviews, lodging inspections and many other types for evaluations.

EVALUATE: Play tourist and explore new things. Evaluate your experiences from a visitor standpoint. Help educate employees and to improve guest vacations.

INFORM: Constant creation of articles, general information, website content generation, show listings, hotel amenities, room types, etc.

TELL THE STORY: Let your creative juices flow and tell the story of Branson to share with the world on behalf of Discover Branson.

This position requires are person that is responsible, energetic, ambitious, creative, outgoing and able to work under pressure or with a deadline. Having your own camera is a plus, but not required. A lot of your work will be done on the go. So ability to work on the move and stay focused in important. A clear and commanding understanding of grammer and the english language. Ability to type fast, work with technology and be independent is a must.

It is important that this person can put together schedules and goals and stick to them.

While you will have a boss... yeah ;-) You will also be trusted with a lot of freedom and ability to take charge and be creative. Must be a trust-worthy individual and also responsbile. Must have a good dress code that respresents the professionalism and values of Discover Branson.
