The work we do directly aligns with the company’s core areas of focus, and we ensure that associates and leaders are ready to support those strategic objectives. Our HR team is comprised of different departments, including Talent Acquisition, HR business partners, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, and Shared Services. WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Experience the Human Resources function as you work with a team of experienced HR professionals in the possible areas of Associate Relations, Analytics, Talent Acquisition, Compensation or AWEsome Associate Workplace teams.
- Support business partners and associates across our 1600+ stores.
- Projects could include a turnover analysis with recommended actions, creating and implementing audits of HR functions to ensure compliance, developing community outreach partnerships to support retention and staffing efforts, researching & making recommendations on company-wide benefits offerings, or similar level projects.
- Responsibilities will include tasks related to project management, building relationships with key stakeholders, data tracking & analysis, and learning to influence others.
- Leave your “paw” print with a project designed to make a true impact on the business.
- Present recommendations and ideas to PetSmart executives and leaders.
WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

- Graduating Dec 2023 or May 2024
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- You are proficient in Excel and familiar with MS Office
- Willingness to relocate to Phoenix, Arizona for the summer and potential future FT role
