Marketing Intern - Visual Merch & Store Design

Join our Customer Experience team this summer as a Visual Merch & Store Design Intern on the team that leads the brand vision and customer experience as it applies to the store design, décor, signage, and visual merchandising aesthetics and standards across the entire chain of PetSmart stores. WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Assist in developing visual merchandising strategies, standards and new capabilities.
- Take part in the execution of compelling design with regard to retail space, visual merchandising, fixtures, signage and décor.
- Proactively stays abreast of trends and innovations within the retail industry.
- Learn to understand the relationship between merchandising, design and customer behavior and uses this knowledge to influence decisions.
- Presents and communicates plans effectively to ensure consistency across the chain.
- Partners with Field team for execution compliance and feedback on in-store activations.
- Leave your “paw” print with a project designed to make a true impact on the business.
- Present your recommendations and innovative ideas to PetSmart leaders.
- Develop and grow your skills with the support of a caring manager and dedicated mentor.
WHAT WILL YOU NEED?
- A passion for pets!!!

- A drive for results
- Graduating Dec 2023 or May 2024
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retailing and Consumer Sciences, or a related field
- You understand retail math and have strong analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- You are proficient in MS Office
- Willingness to relocate to Phoenix, Arizona for the summer and potential future FT role
