Classroom Paraprofessional #1693
Job Summary:
The paraprofessional assists students with all instructional and non-instructional needs. The paraprofessional assists in providing instruction to individuals or small groups of students in a classroom. The paraprofessional performs various tasks in assisting the classroom teacher with meeting the educational needs of the students in the particular program to which they are assigned.
- Qualifications:High school graduate;
- Must hold the Educator License with Stipulations for Paraprofessionals - ELS (PARA);
- Ability to work closely with the classroom teacher and assist with instruction and supervision of students;
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, use of email and Google Suite applications;
- Ability to use independent judgment and demonstrate initiative to act in accordance with established policies and regulations;
- Ability to follow oral and written directions;
- Some knowledge of the field of child development and some knowledge of student behavior management techniques;
- Able to serve as a role model for students by demonstrating a positive attitude and effective work ethic;
- Exhibits positive interpersonal skills and can communicate effectively with students, staff, administrators, and parents;
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
- Salary and Benefits:Starting hourly pay of $15.72 - $18.70;
- Hourly pay is commensurate with education and includes a competitive benefits package;

Working Conditions:
- 10 month position (August - May/June)
