Retail Merchandising Internship

Von Maur is looking for juniors interested in Retail Merchandising. Not sure if buying, planning, or allocating is your forte? Our buyers are responsible for all facets of the process, so you will experience all of it in our program. This internship is a precursor to our Executive Training Program that takes place after graduation.

·        Spend a few weeks at our NorthPark store working on training, job shadows, and selling to learn more about the company and its products

·        Spend the remaining weeks at our corporate office in Davenport, Iowa

·        Be assigned to a specific Buyer and participate as a member of the team

·        Attend Buyer training so you can fully assist your Buyer with any tasks

·        Get a behind-the-scenes look at our Distribution Center and E-Commerce fulfillment

·        Go on store visits, participate in vendor appointments, and potentially observe style-outs

·        10-week Internship Program beginning June 6th, 2023

·        All in-person work located in Davenport, Iowa

·        Students must be able to commit to a full-time schedule (35-40 hours per week)

·        Will be scheduled retail hours (mix of days, nights, and weekends) while in store, then Monday through Friday 8-4 while in the corporate office

Qualifications:

·        Junior Level Status

·        3.0 GPA

·        Retail Experience Preferred
