Accounting Donor Management Intern


Position located near IUPUI Campus! (position is part of the Community Work-study program at IUPUI)

Position Title:           Accounting/Donor Management Intern (Work Remotely)

Hours Per Week:      10-20
Hourly Pay:             $15.00

This Accounting/Donor Management Intern position is a remote work-study position with the Kheprw Institute. Under the supervision of the The intern will be exposed to, learn about and assist the Office/Finance Manager in managing and monitoring the financial transactions of the organization, entering data into Quickbooks, producing cashflow reports and financial statements, entering and retrieving donor data and helping to connect with donors. Activities will include:

Responsibilities and Duties
●  Entering transactions into Quickbooks Online
●  Entering data into budget and reviewing it
●  Producing Financial Statements
●  Reviewing donor data and identifying errors
●  Sending out Thank yous and other messages to connect with donors
●  Assisting with KIF activities and tasks
●  Other duties as assigned

Student Learning Experience
Through work in this position, the student will become acquainted with the following profiles:

Communicator - The student will learn how to effectively utilize accounting and donor management software to keep the organization informed of its finances and customer relations software to communicate with and engage organizational supporters.

Problem Solver – The student will work with the Office Manager to improve the processes and procedures used to manage the financial operations of the organization and Donor 
management/relations.

Innovator – The student will work with the Office Manager to provide bookkeeping/accounting data entry, processes and solutions that contribute to the efficiency and informed decision making of the organization.

Community Contributor – The student will gain knowledge about other cultures and perspectives through interacting with members of the staff and community. This position will provide students exposure to alternative narratives and ways of being in the world broadening their awareness of diversity and inclusion teaching them to respect their culture and that of others.
