2023 Co-op, Digital Content Engineer

The Role:
Moderna is searching for a co-op to join the Data, AI, & Informatics teams as the Informatics Content Specialist to help to enhance content adoption and contribute the Moderna’s mission of creating a new generation of transformative medicine.

As the Informatics Content Specialist, you will research and determine our target audience and oversee the creation and publishing of content in the form of user guides, short- and long-form articles, internal media posts, dashboards and similar. You will also participate in planning digital engagement campaigns and content strategies while expanding our digital footprint to improve delivery services & platform capability awareness.

You must have a passion for learning, improving content awareness, digital content management. 
Our co-op program dates are from January 9th, 2023 – June 16th, 2023. Candidates must be available for the entire duration of the program.

Here’s What You’ll Do:
  • Assess and analyze the current content and their structure
  • Work with stakeholders to understand their information need and navigation and search preference
  • Work with various teams to collect content and if necessary, develop the content under teams’ requirement
  • Design the content site structure on department level, review the design and manage alignment
  • Implement the optimized content site framework and develop maintenance strategy
  • Migrate the existing content into new structure
  • Monitoring performance of the content across all digital media platforms

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:
  • Major in Information Science, Digital Content Marketing, Communications, Business, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum Experience: Junior standing
  • Previous co-op/internship experience in creative agency is a plus
  • Familiarity with basic concepts of programing (variables, logic, statement, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills, and ability to author user stories from conversations with end-use
  • Ability to articulate concepts and ideas for different audiences (end users, functional leaders, and digital management)
  • People-oriented, and able to see and think from user’s view
  • Excellent writing skill, previous experience in content creation is a plus.
