Season Subscription Sales Student Associate (Business Season 2022-2023)
JOB TITLE: Season Subscriptions Student Associate
DEPARTMENT: MSGS Season Subscription Sales Sports
SUPERVISOR: Vice President, Sales
ROLE SUMMARY:
As Student Associate, you will learn about our sales process, assist with reporting, and support the MSGS Season Subscription Sales Department with daily tasks and sales efforts. This role is for a hardworking and self-motivated candidate eager to participate in a variety of sales activities such as prospecting new business and assisting the ticketing department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Learn the business of selling all season ticket and premium seating products for events at Madison Square Garden
- Assist with sales reporting, contest tracking, data entry, and lead management
- Create unique sales initiatives that are enacted to sell season memberships and premium tickets to maximize revenue
- Research industry trends and specific companies for new business prospecting
- Shadow and assist numerous events including the New York Knicks and New York Rangers home games, and concerts
- Assist entire ticketing department with daily tasks including taking stock and ordering department supplies, creating collateral for events, controlling and implementing department merchandise, shipment of sales incentive merchandise, and generating reports
- Participate in special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Determined attitude and solid communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
- High level of professionalism and enthusiasm
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Proficiency in basic computer programs including Microsoft Office and Excel
- Sales experience (preferred) either through previous experiences, activities or education
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
- This role may involve very minimal travel outside of the MSG venues in New York City (Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden, and the Beacon Theatre)
- Ability to work events during the evening and on weekends
- Ability to lift at least 30 pounds
STUDENT ASSOCIATE REQUIRMENTS:
- Undergraduate candidates with a class status of junior or above
- GPA of 3.2 or above
- Provide a letter from your school verifying enrollment
- Available to work a minimum 21-hour work week and a maximum 35-hour work week (35 hours required for the summer semester)
