Process Engineer Intern
The Process Engineer Intern reports to an Engineering Manager and has responsibility for supporting manufacturing process improvements and project work through analysis and design.
This will be a 40 hour per week position during Summer of 2023.
Primary Duties:
- Work with experienced Engineers to develop and improve manufacturing processes.
- Lead process improvement activities related to productivity efficiencies, reducing waste, improving quality and safety improvement.
- Creating and modifying manufacturing standard work instructions.
- Support Engineering trials and assist in new equipment startup.
- Position will require you to provide training to operators as required
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or Electrical Engineering
- Ideally in Junior or Senior standing the summer of 2023
- Skills and ability to evaluate and optimize manufacturing processes
- Comfortable working daily in manufacturing shop floor environment
Physical Environment:
The physical environment at the Aurora facility requires the Process Engineering Intern to be active in a heavy industrial, manufacturing setting.
- Facility is not climate controlled. Hot and Cold conditions exist during the seasons throughout the year.
- PPE is required at all times on the production floor
- Due to the nature of the products we produce, the facility is dusty and many of the raw materials are difficult to remove from cloths and skin.
