Intern: Graphic Design
The Creative Services Department is looking for an energetic and hard-working Graphic Design intern to help with our growing design needs. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a talented group of senior designers and marketing experts to gain real-world experience in Graphic Design. In this role, you will assist the design team in updating and creating consumer product packaging, promotional materials, digital and print ads, social media graphics, POP displays, signage and renderings for marketing/sales presentations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Update existing consumer product packaging
- Create new packaging design concepts
- Collaborate with our tradeshow manager and marketing teams on development of tradeshow graphics
- Create inspiration for new patterns and designs for several product categories
- Work with our merchandising manager and marketing teams to develop P.O.P displays and signage
- Design graphics for marketing and sales presentations and/or materials
- Assist with company corporate marketing materials/ads
- Design assets for social network and ensure they meet brand standards
- Production work that includes, but is not limited to mock-ups, formatting, editing
- Create renderings for marketing/sales presentations
- General help with other miscellaneous tasks

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Currently enrolled in college for at least 1.25 years (sophomore or higher)
- Strong working knowledge of Mac-based graphics software including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign,
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Creative problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized, detail oriented, deadline-focused
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Ability to work independently and take direction from more than one person
- Ability to balance multiple projects and prioritize
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to work in front of a computer workstation for extended periods of time.
- Occasional standing, sitting, walking, lifting (10-20lbs) and talking on the phone.
- Comfortable using sharp blades in the completion of mock-ups.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a fast-paced work environment with consistent pressure to complete duties as outlined above which requires ability to manage multiple projects at a detailed level and provide support to many internal departments in a fast-changing environment. Many duties listed above are time-sensitive and have strict deadlines for completion.
