Intern - Architectural Design - Summer 2023

What You Will Do:
As an Architectural Design Intern with HNI Workplace Furnishings, you will join our Architectural Products team in Muscatine, IA. The Architectural Products team is responsible for providing design services focused on architectural products to our external and internal users. As an intern on this team, you will work cross functionally with dealers, designers, product development engineers, and more to deliver design solutions.

Each summer, the Architectural Design Intern receives a project (or two!) for the summer and works directly with a mentor for technical and professional guidance. Throughout the summer, HNI interns are offered career development experiences such as skill-building workshops and opportunities to learn from and network with senior leadership.

Outside of work, HNI interns enjoy professional and social networking opportunities with 70+ other HNI interns throughout the Muscatine community. This is a paid internship spanning approximately 10 weeks; housing is provided if needed. Depending on the flexibility of the role, the internship may have the opportunity to be completed remotely.

What You Have:
  • Junior/Senior college level student pursuing a degree in Interior Design or Architecture
  • Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp
  • High attention to detail
  • Portfolio containing examples of design work must be submitted
