Goodspeed Practice Room Security Monitor (FOUR POSITIONS AVAILABLE), Department of Music

Primary responsibility is to serve as after-hour monitor for Goodspeed Hall first floor practice room area. Open and close/secure building at designated times. According to COVID-19 protocols, monitors may be asked to keep a counter of building entrants or wipe down surfaces. Supervise entrance and exit (sign in & out) of students. Ensure proper uses of instruments and building facilities; report any problems. May also be required to provide access to and assist in monitoring security in other areas of building (i.e. 4th floor recital hall) for special events as directed. Occasionally additional hours may be available for assisting with concert operations, including ushering, reception set-up & clean up. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Dependability. Building hours must be kept exactly. This position entails responsibility for Goodspeed Hall facilities and occupants. Applicants must be trustworthy and willing/able to work without supervision. Evening and/or weekend shifts required; must maintain consistent schedule throughout each quarter. IMPORTANT: This is a full academic year position; candidates must be available to work Autumn, Winter, and Spring Quarters. Students who plan to study abroad, graduate early, etc. should not apply.
