Project Management Intern

Project Summary:
The USAID Increased Demand and Engagement for Accountability (IDEA) project seeks to advance civil society advocacy and oversight in Sri Lanka. Its purpose is to ensure that Sri Lanka has a vibrant and diverse civil society that empowers citizens to advance democratic values of citizen participation and government accountability on a range of governance and reform issues.

Position Summary:
The Project Management Intern will be a vital member of the operations staff supporting our projects in our Africa/Europe Eurasia regions. The Intern will be supporting the financial, hiring, and operational work for the project and with supervisor of the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager will ensure the seamless execution of the project. Internships require a maximum commitment of 35 hours per week with a flexible schedule and is presently remote due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a paid position.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Research and track project information such as recruitment files, HR, files, invoices, etc.
  • Support with reviewing monthly accounting documents.
  • Update and maintain multiple project trackers.
  • Coordinate with FO on collecting information.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • Minimum one year of relevant office experience required. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Word and Excel, required.
  • Experience working in Excel preferred.
  • Experience in research, document review, and file organization preferred.
  • Organizational skills preferred.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal, required.
